Business Unit Overview
Production Support Services (PSS) is a horizontal Production Support organization of Fidelity’s Technology Services. This team supports the operational needs of various businesses such as Workplace Investing, Personal Investing, SIPD, Asset Management and Advisory businesses, as well as support the internal enterprise applications.
Role Description
The selected candidates will provide database application life cycle support including database design, development, implementation, and support in the development and production environments. This candidate will also provide recommendations and solutions on database and application architecture, database integrity, security and availability as well as application tuning support.
Candidate Description
  • Setting up and monitoring database alerts through OEM / CRONTAB.
  • Setting up & Monitoring Replication (Oracle GoldenGate).
  • Setting up, Monitoring & troubleshooting Dataguard & RAC.
  • Oracle Database Administration
  • User management
  • Space management
  • Performance tuning
  • SQL tuning
  • Backup and Recovery
  • Disaster Recovery Management
  • Provide 12x7 support and ensure that all critical database problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Perform/support RDBMS software maintenance and database instance creation
  • Oracle / Tomcat Application Server administration activities including installation, monitoring, deployment & troubleshooting activities.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate is must.
  • Knowledge in Oracle 12c will be an advantage.
  • Should have a strong understanding of Oracle Database Concepts, Installation, Patching, Cloning and System Administration work.
  • Should be able to perform DBA activities like instance tuning, schema management, space management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, database refresh, and SQL programming and tuning
  • Should have good exposure to performance tuning.
